Philly Modern Quilt Guild Community Service

Members generously donate their time and materials to sew quilts for the following organizations:

Quilts For Kids (http://www.quiltsforkids.org/) Fairless Hills, PA, quilts sent nationwide

Request: Check out the FAQ section linked above. They accept quilts for kids from birth to 22 years old- so you have quite a bit of flexibility! You can send quilts directly to Q4K or get them to me (Stephanie)- I live 5 minutes away from their HQ. If you want to make a trip, they have fabric for sale at their HQ- and all sales further their mission of getting quilts to kids in need.

Stitch Central Annual Quilt Drive for Nationalities Service Center (www.nscphila.org)

Contact: Danielle Gallagher & Cybele Perry (guild members) info@mystitchcentral.com Request: Twin, full & queen-sized quilts for new immigrant and refugee families. Stitch Central starts collecting quilts in August- so you can start planning ahead and sewing!linked above. Camp Erin Philadelphia

Contact: Bobbi Penniman (bobbichina@yahoo.com). Request:  Quilts for kids/teens ages 6-17.  Camp Erin® Philadelphia, a program of the David Bradley Children's Bereavement Program, is a free weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives.
